The fourth volume of the Global History Review, featuring the environmental issue from a global history perspective, has been published recently by the China Social Sciences Press. As usual, it comprises of three basic sections, overviews of the field, historiographies and research methodologies, specific case studies, and related teaching in various parts of the world. In this volume, we are honored to have contributions from a number of leading scholars of the field, including Alfred Crosby, J. Donald Hughes, J.R. McNeill, Bao Maohong, Mei Xueqin, Wang Lihua, among others. We aim to build a bridge for academic research in this budding and flourishing field of history.
